FSD to fully resume fire protection services

     In view of the first phase of the relaxation of social distancing measures announced by the Government, the Fire Services Department (FSD) today (April 20) announced that the Shroff Office and Receipt and Dispatch Counter of the Licensing and Certification Command Headquarters on the 5/F, Fire Services Headquarters Building (hotline during office hours: 2733 7619), and the Receipt and Dispatch Counter of the Fire Safety Command Headquarters on the 7/F, Fire Services Headquarters Building (hotline during office hours: 2170 9665), will fully resume operation from tomorrow (April 21) and provide services from 9am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 4.30pm on Monday to Friday (except public holidays). In order to reduce social contact to contain the spread of the disease, members of the public are encouraged to settle payments electronically as much as practicable. Details of the payment methods are contained in the payment notice.

     Furthermore, the public education programmes of the FSD will gradually resume starting from tomorrow. Special arrangements will be made pursuant to the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G).      In addition, the Fire and Ambulance Services Education Centre cum Museum (FASECM) will reopen from tomorrow. Due to the limited quota for admission, all applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Members of the public can submit applications through the FASECM "Online Booking System" (es.hkfsd.gov.hk/museum/en). In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F), the Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, the FASECM will adopt a series of disease prevention measures, including screening body temperatures and checking the Vaccine Pass QR codes for people entering the FASECM, and ensuring that visitors wear masks and scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application, etc. For enquiries, please call 2411 8691 (FASECM) during office hours.
