The application period of the Temporary Unemployment Relief (TUR) Scheme commenced on March 23. It will last for three weeks until 11.59pm next Tuesday (April 12). As at noon today (April 8), over 380 000 applications had been received. Starting from today, the first batch of about 60 000 successful applicants will receive notifications via SMS message and email (if an email address has been provided). It is expected that the subsidies can be disbursed within one week from April 12. Applicants receiving notifications via SMS message or email may check their bank accounts thereafter. For applicants who have not yet received any notification, their applications are still being processed. They may log into the TUR website (www.tur.gov.hk/en/) to enquire about the application status.
A Government spokesman once again reminded eligible persons who intend to apply for the TUR to submit their applications through the TUR website as soon as possible. Applicants may refer to the demonstration videos before making an application:
