A spokesman for the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) said today (February 18) that the FEHD's Food Import and Export Section (Hong Kong and Kowloon Office) on the second floor at Fa Yuen Street Municipal Services Building, 123A Fa Yuen Street, has resumed services today.
In addition, a health inspector and a workman of the FEHD have tested preliminarily positive for COVID-19. The two staff work on 4/F, South Office Block, Super Terminal 1, HACTL, Hong Kong International Airport, last performed duties on February 13 and 14 respectively, and have been wearing masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. Upon learning of the incident, the FEHD has immediately conducted thorough cleaning and disinfection work at relevant places in accordance with the Centre for Health Protection's advice, and has arranged for the staff concerned to undergo COVID-19 testing.
The FEHD has been strictly implementing disease prevention measures during the epidemic. Staff members are reminded to pay attention to personal hygiene and to stay vigilant. They should seek medical advice immediately if they develop symptoms of COVID-19.
