Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long this morning (May 10) in which a 74-year-old man died.
At about 8.09am, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 63-year-old man was travelling along Tai Tong Road towards Tai Tong direction. When approaching Shui Chiu Lo Wai, it reportedly knocked down the 74-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injury, the man was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 9.09am.
The PLB driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
