Fatal traffic accident in Tsim Sha Tsui
Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsim Sha Tsui in the small hours today (June 3) in which a 56-year-old man died.
At about 4am, a taxi driven by a 41-year-old man and the 56-year-old cyclist were travelling along Canton Road towards Yau Ma Tei. When approaching near Austin Road, the two vehicles reportedly collided.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the 56-year-old cyclist was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.45am.
The taxi driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
