Fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City
Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City today (October 25) in which a 69-year-old man died.
At 5.33am, a taxi driven by the 69-year-old man was travelling along Prince Edward Road East westbound. When approaching outside a hotel, it reportedly lost control and hit a water barrier.
Sustaining no apparent injuries, the taxi driver was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 7.08am on the same day. A 47-year-old male taxi passenger sustained minor injury and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in conscious state.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
