Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident happened in Cheung Sha Wan today (January 6) in which a man died.
At about 7.09am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 50-year-old man was travelling along Lin Cheung Road towards Hong Kong. When approaching Hoi Tat Estate, it reportedly rammed into a heavy goods vehicle that was stopped on the highway suspectedly due to breakdown.
The LGV driver was trapped inside the compartment and later rescued by firemen. Sustained serious multiple injuries, the man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 8.17am.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team 2 of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
