Expert advisory panel for study on artificial islands in Central Waters convenes first meeting

     The expert advisory panel for the study on the artificial islands in the Central Waters set up by the Government held its first meeting today (November 9) to give expert advice and views on the study.
 
     The panel comprises 10 non-official members, who are academics, professionals and experts from various sectors. At today's meeting, they had in-depth discussions with representatives from the Civil Engineering and Development Department and the Planning Department, as well as the consultants on various issues under the study including planning and urban design principles, infrastructure works, transport planning, sustainability and carbon neutrality, and smart, green and resilient initiatives.
