Non-official Members of the Executive Council (ExCo Non-official Members) today (August 1) expressed their warmest congratulations to Hong Kong swimming athlete Siobhan Bernadette Haughey for winning another medal for Hong Kong – a bronze medal in the Women's 100m Freestyle event at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to her coach and the swimming team.
The Convenor of ExCo Non-official Members, Mrs Regina Ip, said, "Siobhan Bernadette Haughey showed great perseverance and gave full play to her skills to stay ahead of the competitors in the race. She lived up to expectations and achieved an excellent result in the competition. We are thrilled that the excellent result achieved by her is testimony to the capability of Hong Kong athletes."
ExCo Non-official Members hope that the Hong Kong, China Delegation will continue to perform at their best and strive for good results in the other events.
