Keysen Property Management Services Limited (formerly known as The Great Eagle Properties Management Company Limited) was fined $40,000 at Eastern Magistrates' Courts today (October 30) for violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance. The prosecution was launched by the Labour Department.
The case involved a fatal accident that occurred on January 11, 2020, at a commercial building in Wan Chai. A worker, while standing on a foldable metal ladder to remove a power cable tied to an overhead cable tray, fell about 2.2 metres from the ladder to the ground. He sustained a serious head injury and passed away two days later.
