The Consumption Voucher Scheme website (www.consumptionvoucher.gov.hk) started to accept registrations at 6am today (July 4). As at 9am this morning, over 200 000 people have submitted electronic registration.
A Government spokesman said, "The scheme website is operating smoothly. Most people authenticated their identity by answering security questions related to the Cash Payout Scheme launched last year. The process is simple and no queueing was required. People who chose to authenticate their identity by using iAM Smart mobile app may experience a longer waiting time as iAM Smart system is busy." The spokesman urged people to use other authentication means to make registration.
