EEB officer tests positive for COVID-19
The Environment and Ecology Bureau (EEB) today (August 4) said that a staff member of the EEB had tested positive for COVID-19 through a rapid antigen test.
The officer is the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary for Environment and Ecology. He usually works in the office and he wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. He has no recent travel history. He last went to work on July 29.
The Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Mr Tse Chin-wan, has been taking COVID-19 rapid tests every day and the results are all negative.
The EEB has conducted thorough cleaning and disinfection at the relevant offices and arranged for relevant staff members to undergo COVID-19 tests in accordance with the advice from the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health.
