DH’s Yau Ma Tei Elderly Health Centre to temporarily close in light of activation of HA’s designated clinic
The Department of Health (DH) today (February 23) announced that, as its Yau Ma Tei Elderly Health Centre (EHC) is situated at the same location with a designated clinic to be activated by the Hospital Authority (HA) tomorrow (February 24), the EHC will be temporarily closed from tomorrow onwards having regard to infection control for a more effective segregation of patients and other users, so as to minimise the risk of virus transmission.
The Yau Ma Tei EHC located at 145 Battery Street, Yau Ma Tei, will be temporarily closed from tomorrow. Booked medical consultation services for members will be temporarily relocated to the Nam Shan EHC located at G/F, Nam Yiu House, Nam Shan Estate, Shek Kip Mei. The staff of the centre will make further arrangements for those affected members with booked appointments.
While other clinics and service units under the DH will not be affected by the HA's designated clinics to be activated tomorrow, the routes for entry and exit may be adjusted. Visitors should pay attention to the on-site arrangements and follow the instructions of staff. Information on the DH's clinics and service units is available at www.dh.gov.hk/english/index.html.
