DH’s eight Student Health Service Centres to resume provision of annual health assessment services starting next Tuesday

     The Department of Health (DH) today (May 5) announced that annual health assessments for Primary One and Secondary One students in the school year 2021/22 will gradually resume at eight of its Student Health Service Centres (SHSCs) starting from next Tuesday (May 10).

     The eight SHSCs include Lam Tin SHSC, Western SHSC, Chai Wan SHSC, Tuen Mun SHSC and Sha Tin SHSC, which remained open to provide vaccination services and Special Assessment Centre services for students who require further follow-up earlier, as well as Yuen Long SHSC, Kowloon City Lions Clubs SHSC and Shek Wu Hui SHSC, which will reopen. Parents will be notified of the specific arrangements of the health assessment.

     The five remaining SHSCs, namely Kowloon Bay SHSC, South Kwai Chung SHSC, Tai Po SHSC, Tsz Wan Shan Wu York Yu SHSC and West Kowloon Government Offices SHSC, will remain closed until further notice. Students belonging to these five SHSCs will be arranged to receive services in those SHSCs which have resumed operation.

Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm (except public holidays). Details of the centres are available at www.studenthealth.gov.hk/english/centre/centre.html.

     â€‹Meanwhile, the DH will continue to implement stringent infection control measures at service units, including requiring all service users and visitors to put on surgical masks and have their body temperature checked.
