Design competition for Green Link in Wong Chuk Hang invites entries

     A design competition jointly organised by the Invigorating Island South Office of the Development Bureau, the Architectural Services Department and the Hong Kong Institute of Architects to collect innovative design ideas and concepts for a Green Link in Wong Chuk Hang opened today (September 10).

     The Green Link in Wong Chuk Hang, a place-making project under the Invigorating Island South initiative, aims at creating an attractive and convenient link connecting Wong Chuk Hang and Aberdeen Country Park through a series of sitting-out areas and pedestrian facilities. 

     Qualified architects, landscape architects and urban designers from Hong Kong are welcome to form teams with other professionals, artists, designers and members of the public aged 18 or above to join the competition to showcase their expertise and creativity.
      
     Registration is open from today until October 22, and the deadline for entry submission will be noon on November 20. An online briefing session will take place at 10.30am on September 18.      The competition is supported by the Civil Engineering and Development Department, the Highways Department, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects, the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.
