In his speech, Mr Yeung encouraged graduates to continue learning through handling different types of cases and reaching out to people at all levels when discharging their duties, and to carry out their duties impartially and fearlessly in a humble, inclusive and courteous manner in order to gain the respect, trust and support of the community.

However, he reminded the graduates that the love, support and respect from members of the public was gained through decades of hard work and dedication by their predecessors. Lastly, he firmly believed that the graduates will continue to uphold the rule of law, maintain Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability, and safeguard Hong Kong and our country.
