That your State Visit is taking place on the eve of the International Solar Alliance Founding Conference makes it even more special.

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, hosted today (March 10, 2018) a banquet in honour of the President of the French Republic, His Excellency Mr Emmanuel Macron, and Heads of State/Government attending the founding conference of the International Solar Alliance at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Seeking enhanced partnership with Guyana through exchange of ideas and best practices in environment conservation, increasing the carbon sink and achieving sustainable development, Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, called on the visiting President of Guyana, Mr. David A. Granger, in New Delhi today.

Underlining the strong and long-standing relationship between France and India, Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar termed as “historic” the inking of an MoU on “mutual recognition of educational qualifications” between the two countries.

European Investment Bank (EIB) and Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) Ltd. have signed a loan agreement for a second line of credit (LoC) of Euro 150 million on non-sovereign basis here, today.
