As entrusted by the Government, HKMC Insurance Limited announced a final six-month extension of the application period of the Dedicated 100% Loan Guarantee Scheme (DLGS) for Cross-boundary Passenger Transport Trade and the DLGS for Travel Sector to October 28, 2024.
The above schemes were launched on April 29, 2023, to support the business resumption of the cross-boundary passenger transport trade and the travel sector after the COVID-19 epidemic. Details are available on the schemes' website: www.hkmc.com.hk/dlgs. Eligible enterprises/persons wishing to apply for the loans may approach the relevant lending institutions. For public enquiries, please call the schemes' hotline at 2536 9788.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) wishes to alert members of the public to a press release issued by Chong Hing Bank Limited relating to a fraudulent website and a mobile application (App), which have been reported to the HKMA. A hyperlink to the press release is available on the HKMA website.
The HKMA wishes to remind the public that banks will not send SMS or emails with embedded hyperlinks which direct them to the banks' websites to carry out transactions. They will not ask customers for sensitive personal information, such as login passwords or one-time password, by phone, email or SMS (including via embedded hyperlinks).
Anyone who has provided his or her personal information, or who has conducted any financial transactions, through or in response to the website or App concerned, should contact the bank using the contact information provided in the press release, and report the matter to the Police by contacting the Crime Wing Information Centre of the Hong Kong Police Force at 2860 5012.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (April 23) that the Environmental Protection Department has classified the water quality at Anglers' Beach in Tsuen Wan District as Grade 4, which means the beach is not suitable for swimming. The red flag has been hoisted. Beachgoers are advised not to swim at the beach until further notice.
