October 2022 adjustment in ceiling prices for dedicated LPG filling stations

â€‹The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department today (September 22) announced an adjustment to the auto-LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) ceiling prices for dedicated LPG filling stations from October 1 to October 31, 2022, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contracts of the dedicated LPG filling stations.

A department spokesman said that the adjustment on October 1, 2022, reflects the movement of the LPG international price in September 2022. The adjusted auto-LPG ceiling prices for dedicated LPG filling stations will range from $3.88 to $4.46 per litre, representing a decrease of $0.12 per litre.

The spokesman said that the auto-LPG ceiling prices were adjusted according to a specified pricing formula. The formula comprises two elements – the LPG international price and the LPG operating price. The LPG international price is the LPG international price of the preceding month. The LPG operating price is adjusted on the first day of February every year according to the movement in the Composite Consumer Price Index in the previous year.

The 2022 final registers of electors/voters for geographical constituencies (GCs), functional constituencies (FCs) and Election Committee subsectors (ECSSs) will be released on September 25 (Sunday). Registered electors/voters may log in to the Online Voter Information Enquiry System (OVIES) (www.voterinfo.gov.hk), or call the Registration and Electoral Office (REO) hotline on 2891 1001 to check their own registration particulars.

“A total of 4 412 415 electors is carried in the final register for GCs,” a spokesman for the REO said today (September 22).

The distribution of electors for the 10 GCs is as follows:

The final register for ECSSs contains 7 969 voters, of which there are 2 541 individual voters and 5 428 corporate voters.

“A net decrease of about 6 000 registered electors has been recorded in the 2022 final register of electors for GCs, compared to the provisional register. A net increase of about 100 registered electors has been recorded in the 2022 final register of electors for FCs, compared to the provisional register. A net decrease of six registered voters has been recorded in the 2022 final register of voters for ECSSs, compared to the provisional register. The figures reflect the follow-up actions taken by the REO based on the latest information available after the publication of the provisional registers of electors/voters, which mainly include de-registration of deceased electors/voters, people who were listed on the omissions lists and returned the reply slips in time to the REO to resume their elector/voter registration status, and those who supplemented the REO with the required information. With the approval of the Revising Officer, the persons concerned have been excluded from or included in the final registers of electors/voters accordingly,” the spokesman said.

The electoral records of about 779 000 electors of GCs have been updated for the compilation of the final registers of electors.

Statistical information about these final registers of electors/voters will be available on the voter registration website (www.voterregistration.gov.hk) starting from September 25.

The 2022 final registers of electors/voters for GCs, FCs and ECSSs will be made available for inspection by specified persons from September 26 onwards at the two offices of the REO. The addresses of the two offices are 10/F, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, and 13/F, Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre, 1 Trademart Drive, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon, respectively. The REO will provide four inspection time slots (one hour and 30 minutes for each time slot) on each working day (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). Specified persons may make appointments for inspection on a first-come, first-served basis. Each specified person may reserve one time slot per day for inspection of the registers of electors/voters.

In addition, a special arrangement has been made by the REO to allow specified persons to inspect a copy of the final register of electors/voters at the above two offices of the REO from 9am to 6pm on September 25. Appointment hotlines at 2891 4082 and 2081 2070 will also operate during the same period on that day to allow reservation by specified persons to inspect the final registers of electors/voters.

According to the relevant regulations, only specified persons (i.e. validly nominated candidates of relevant elections, bodies/organisations which meet the specified requirements and members of the press who are subscribers of the Government News and Media Information System) are allowed to inspect the copy of final registers of individual electors/voters for GCs, FCs and ECSSs. Only the first Chinese character of the name (if the person’s name is recorded in Chinese) or the first word of the name (if the name of the person is recorded in English) of an individual elector/voter and his/her registered residential address and constituency/subsector is shown on the registers of electors/voters for inspection. A copy of the registers for FCs and ECSSs, which contains only the entries of corporate electors/voters, is available for inspection by the public.

Applicants may make appointments to inspect the registers by calling 2891 4082/2891 2070 during the REO’s ordinary business hours (9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday, except public holidays) starting from today. Upon the completion of the initial reservation by phone, applicants are required to fill in and return a reservation form to the REO by a specified deadline to confirm the reservation.
