Service suspension of Children Community Vaccination Centre, Private Clinic COVID-19 Community Vaccination Stations and outreach teams of Home Vaccination Service

     The Government today (July 17) announced that, as the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is now in force, the Children Community Vaccination Centre (CCVC) and Private Clinic COVID-19 Vaccination Stations (PCVSs) under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme will remain closed and their vaccination service will be suspended. 

     If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is cancelled before 1pm today, the CCVC and PCVSs will reopen and resume vaccination service two hours after the cancellation and they will operate until the normal closing time.

     Affected persons can make a new vaccination appointment through the booking system on the website of the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme (booking.covidvaccine.gov.hk) from tomorrow (July 18) .

     The Home Vaccination Service scheduled today has also been cancelled. The relevant medical organisations will contact affected persons for updated vaccination arrangement.




Arrangements for DH clinics

Attention duty announcers of radio and television stations:

Please broadcast the following message as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:

     The Department of Health (DH) today (July 17) announced that, as the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is now in force, all DH clinics are closed, except for Methadone Clinics which will be open for the normal operating hours. Those receiving methadone treatment can attend Methadone Clinics for their daily dose.

     The public is advised to pay attention to radio and television announcements.




Suspension of services of Transport Department

     The Transport Department today (July 17) announced that the public services under the department, i.e. the Licensing Offices at Admiralty, Cheung Sha Wan, Kwun Tong and Sha Tin, the Public Vehicles Unit, the Cross Boundary Unit, the Vehicle Examination Centres, the Driving Test Appointment Office, the Driving Test Centres and Written Test Centre, will be suspended as the No.8 gale or storm signal is now in force.

     Candidates scheduled for driving test (including road test and written test) this morning will be individually informed of the alternative arrangements. If the No.8 gale or storm signal is still in force at 11.30am, all driving tests today will be cancelled. Candidates will be individually informed of the alternative arrangements.

     Vehicle examinations scheduled this morning will be cancelled. If the No.8 gale or storm signal is still in force at 11.30am, all vehicle examinations will be cancelled. Members of public who have made an appointment for vehicle examination services can make a new appointment after the vehicle examination centres reopen. 

     Besides, for applicants who have made an appointment for driving licence related services, renewal of vehicle licence, transfer of vehicle ownership, application for a duplicate vehicle registration document / duplicate vehicle licence, an international driving permit, retention, transfer or assignment of vehicle registration mark, at any timeslot while the No.8 gale or storm signal was in force or within two hours after the lowering of the signal, they may proceed to the Licensing Offices to submit their applications during opening hours (from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday) on or before July 24 without the need to make another appointment. 




Announcement by Judiciary on gale warning arrangements

    The Judiciary has announced that as the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 was still in force at 6am, all hearings of the courts and tribunals will be adjourned this morning (July 17).
 
    Hearings will remain adjourned this afternoon if the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is still in force at or after 11am.
 
    Court/tribunal registries and offices will remain closed until further notice. While court users may continue to use the integrated Court Case Management System (iCMS) for electronic services provided by the registries of the District Court and Magistrates' Courts as usual, any documents filed via the iCMS during the registries' closure period will be deemed to have been received upon their reopening.




Suspension of Immigration Services owing to Tropical Cyclone

     The Immigration Department announces that when Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is in force, services at the Immigration Headquarters and all Branch Offices, Registration of Persons Offices and Births, Deaths and Marriage Registries are temporarily suspended.
