Liquor Licensing Board to meet on Tuesday

The following is issued on behalf of the Liquor Licensing Board:

     The Liquor Licensing Board will meet on Tuesday (September 5) to consider an application for transfer of liquor licence.

     The application is:

     The board will also consider revocation of the liquor licences of Chino in Kennedy Town and SUSHI MI in Tsim Sha Tsui.

     The meeting will be held at 9.45am in the conference room, Room 102, 1/F, 258 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai. Members of the public are welcome to attend.




Govt, community-created dream park

     What was once a sewage pumping station in Kwun Tong is now a deck park thanks to the Drainage Services Department and its goal of fulfilling the Government's "single site, multiple use" initiative and meeting the public's needs.

     News.gov.hk spoke to the department's project engineers to learn more about their meticulous process of integrating the opinions of different stakeholders through various means to improve the overall design of the park and its facilities.

Temporary closure of Shun Lee Tsuen Sports Centre

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (September 3) that, due to power failure, Shun Lee Tsuen Sports Centre in Kwun Tong District has been temporarily closed for urgent maintenance works until further notice.




Temporary closure of several LCSD venues and facilities

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (September 2) that due to damages brought about by Tropical Cyclone Saola, the following venues/facilities have been temporarily closed for clearance and urgent repair works until further notice.

     Hong Kong Island
     1. Southern District:
        – Stanley Main Beach Water Sports Centre

     2. Wan Chai District:
        – Hong Kong Tennis Centre (to be reopened at 7am tomorrow)

     Kowloon
     1. Yau Tsim Mong District:
        – Signal Hill Garden

     2. Kwun Tong District:
        – Jordan Valley Swimming Pool (to be reopened at 6.30am tomorrow)

     New Territories
     1. Islands District:
        – Pui O Campsite
        – San Pak She Street Sitting-out Area No. 7, Cheung Chau
        – Tai Kwai Wan Garden, Cheung Chau

     2. Sai Kung District:
        – Sai Kung Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground (to be reopened at 6.30am tomorrow)
        – Sai Kung Tennis Courts and Sai Kung Squash Courts (to be reopened at 7am tomorrow)
        – Sai Kung Swimming Pool (to be reopened at 6.30am tomorrow)
