     As the Landslip Warning has been issued, the Home Affairs Department's Emergency Co-ordination Centre is now in operation.

     The Home Affairs Department will open temporary shelters for people in need of temporary accommodation.

Red flags hoisted at several beaches

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (June 7) that due to big waves, red flags have been hoisted at Hung Shing Yeh Beach, Lo So Shing Beach, Cheung Chau Tung Wan Beach, Pui O Beach, Upper Cheung Sha Beach, Lower Cheung Sha Beach and Tong Fuk Beach in Islands District. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at these beaches.




Missing woman in Yau Ma Tei located

     A woman who went missing in Yau Ma Tei was located.

     Yau Choi-lai, aged 64, went missing after she was last seen at Queen Elizabeth Hospital on May 30. Her family made a report to Police on the same day.

     The woman returned to her residence yesterday (June 6) afternoon. She sustained no injuries and no suspicious circumstances were detected.




Public urged to report flooding

Flag-raising ceremony cancelled

     Owing to the thunderstorm warning, the flag-raising ceremony to be conducted at Golden Bauhinia Square, Wan Chai at 8am today (June 7) will be cancelled.
