Tenders invited for licence of fee-paying public car park and separate tenancies of government properties

     The Government Property Agency is inviting separate tenders for (i) a three-year licence of the car park on portions of the ground floor level, lower ground 1 level, lower ground 2 level, lower ground 3 level and lower ground 4 level of Queensway Government Offices, No.66 Queensway, Hong Kong; (ii) a five-year tenancy of the government property at Shop Nos.514, 527A and 527B, on the first floor of the Passenger Clearance Building, 33 Shun Fai Road, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port, Lantau; and (iii) two separate five-year tenancies of the government property at (a) Shop No.303, and (b) Shop No.304, on the ground floor of the Passenger Clearance Building, 33 Shun Fai Road, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port, Lantau.

     The property at No.66 Queensway should be used for the purpose of a fee-paying public car park for the parking of private cars and motorcycles only. The properties in Lantau should be used for (i) general retail purposes including storage, sale and display of duty free liquor and tobacco, wine, perfume, cosmetics, general merchandise and other ancillary products (excluding any goods or commodities that are subject to export control under the laws of Hong Kong, any regulations made thereunder and any amending legislations) or (ii) currency exchange, or both (i) and (ii), only.

     The tender notices were uploaded today (August 10) to the Agency’s website: www.gpa.gov.hk. Tender documents are available for collection at the Government Property Agency, 31/F, Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, during office hours (8.30am to 5.45pm from Mondays to Fridays). The documents can also be downloaded from the Agency’s website.

     Interested tenderers who wish to inspect the sites should make prior appointment with the Government Property Agency by calling 2594 7697 on or before August 22 for the property at No.66 Queensway, and calling 2594 7697 on or before August 17 for the properties in Lantau.

     Tenderers must submit their tenders by placing them in the Government Logistics Department Tender Box at the Ground Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, before noon on September 3 this year for the property at No.66 Queensway; and before noon on August 31 this year for the properties at Shop Nos.514, 527A and 527B in Lantau; and before noon on August 30 this year for the properties at Shop No.303 and Shop No.304 in Lantau. Late tenders will not be accepted. read more

Amendments to barrier-free access facilities at subway near Fa Po Street and Surrey Lane proposed

     The Government gazetted today (August 10) the proposed amendments to the installation of barrier-free access facilities at a subway (No. KS23) near Fa Po Street in Sham Shui Po District and Surrey Lane in Kowloon City District to ameliorate the effect of the works on adjacent residents.

     Details of the proposed amendments are set out in the Annex.  The amendment plan and amendment scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

     The gazette notice, amendment scheme, amendment plan and location plan will be available at www.thb.gov.hk/eng/psp/publications/transport/gazette/gazette.htm.

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed amendments is required to address to the Secretary for Transport and Housing an objection in writing, which can be submitted via the following means:
 

  • By post or by hand to the Transport and Housing Bureau’s drop-in box No. 6 located at the entrance on 2/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong. The box is available for use between 8am and 7pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays);
  • By fax to 2868 4643; or
  • By email to gazettethb@thb.gov.hk.

     A notice of objection should describe the objector’s interest and the manner in which he or she alleges that he or she will be affected by the proposed amendments. Objectors are requested to provide contact details to facilitate communication. A notice of objection should be delivered to the Secretary for Transport and Housing not later than October 9, 2018. read more
