Red flags hoisted at Clear Water Bay First Beach and Clear Water Bay Second Beach

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (June 12) that due to inclement weather, red flags have been hoisted at Clear Water Bay First Beach and Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung District. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at these beaches.




Regional Traffic Day of Hong Kong Island

     Police yesterday (June 11) held the Regional Traffic Day on the Hong Kong Island to raise public awareness of road safety through stringent enforcement actions.

     A total of 292 officers from Traffic Hong Kong Island and District Traffic Teams of Eastern, Wan Chai, Central and Western Districts were deployed to take enforcement actions at traffic black spots on the Hong Kong Island.

     The operation resulted in the issue of 1 221 fixed penalty tickets and 46 summonses. Among the fixed penalty tickets and summonses issued, a total of 1,026 fixed penalty tickets were issued for illegal parking and the rest are for other traffic offences.

     Police figures revealed that a total of 1 212 traffic accidents involving casualties occurred on the Hong Kong Island in the first five months of 2018, of which 335 cases involved pedestrian injuries.

     Police will continue to take regular enforcement actions to ensure road safety.




Red flag hoisted at Lower Cheung Sha Beach

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (June 12) that due to big waves, red flag has been hoisted at Lower Cheung Sha Beach in Islands District. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.




Missing man in Sham Shui Po located

     A man who went missing in Sham Shui Po was located.

     Lee Wang-fu, aged 83, went missing after he left his residence on Yee Kuk Street yesterday (June 10) morning. His family made a report to Police on the same day.   

     The man was located on Ki Lung Street this evening (June 11). He sustained no injuries and no suspicious circumstances were detected.




Appeal for information on missing man in Sham Shui Po (with photo)

     Police today (June 11) appealed to the public for information on a man who went missing in Sham Shui Po. 

     Lee Wang-fu, aged 83, went missing after he left his residence on Yee Kuk Street yesterday (June 10) morning. His family made a report to Police on the same day. 

     He is about 1.67 metres tall, 72 kilograms in weight and of medium build. He has a round face with yellow complexion and short white hair. He was last seen wearing a blue short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and black leather shoes.

     Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the missing man or may have seen him is urged to contact the Regional Missing Person Unit of Kowloon West on 3661 8036 or 9020 6542 or email to rmpu-kw-2@police.gov.hk, or contact any police station.
