The following is issued on behalf of the Liquor Licensing Board:

     The Liquor Licensing Board will meet on Tuesday (June 26) to consider an application for renewal of liquor licence on Hong Kong Island.

     The application is:
 
Kui Kee Seafood Restaurant in Wan Chai
 
     The meeting will be held at 9.45am in the conference room, Room 102, 1/F, 258 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai. Members of the public are welcome to attend, except during the private session on confidential items.

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, will depart for Shenzhen at around noon tomorrow (June 25) to attend the launch ceremony of a tour on national development strategies and opportunities for Hong Kong youths. He will also visit a youth entrepreneurship base in Shenzhen.

     Mr Lau will return to Hong Kong in the evening on the same day.

     Owing to the improvement works on the flag poles and the podium at the Golden Bauhinia Square, Wan Chai, the flag lowering parade scheduled at 6pm tomorrow (June 25) and the flag raising and lowering parade on June 26 will be suspended.

     The flag raising parade will resume at 8am on June 27.
     
 

     Police advise motorists that special traffic arrangements will be implemented in Sha Tin to facilitate the race meeting today (June 24).

     The arrangements will come into effect two hours before the start of the first race and will last until the crowds have dispersed after the race meeting.

     Appropriate traffic signs will be put up and police will be on hand to guide motorists.

     The Police also appeal to people going to Sha Tin Racecourse for the race meeting and to Happy Valley Racecourse for cross betting to make maximum use of public transport.

     Parking spaces at the two racecourses are available only to holders of appropriate permits issued by Hong Kong Jockey Club and any vehicles

     The Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund's roving interactive exhibition, which is installed in a truck, raises awareness of the difficult lives faced by the underprivileged.

     News.gov.hk spoke with people who visited the truck, called the Social Innovation Flow, to see how it helps spark new ideas in tackling poverty by having visitors wear rigid gloves and blurry goggles to experience the world as a senior citizen or as someone who is visually impaired.
