     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (July 2) that due to big waves, red flag has been hoisted at Pui O Beach in Islands District. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.




Caring hands for children

     Therapists from non-governmental organisations are going directly to schools to train children with special educational needs under the Pilot Scheme on On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (July 2) that due to big waves, red flags have been hoisted at Hung Shing Yeh Beach and Lo So Shing Beach in Islands District.  Beach-goers are advised not to swim at these beaches.




Sheung Shui Swimming Pool temporarily closed

     Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (July 1) that Sheung Shui Swimming Pool in North District has been temporarily closed for cleaning and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of faeces in the pool.

     It will be reopened at 6.30am tomorrow.

     The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep the swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.
