Appeal for information on missing man in Tsuen Wan (with photo)

          Police today (September 8) appealed to the public for information on a man who went missing in Tsuen Wan.

          Lau Yiu-lung, aged 62, went missing after he left an elderly home on Tsuen King Circuit yesterday (September 7). Staff of the elderly home made a report to Police on the same day.
      
          He is about 1.75 metres tall, 95 kilograms in weight and of fat build. He has a round face with yellow complexion and short straight grey hair. He was last seen wearing a black and white stripes short-sleeved shirt, dark trousers, black shoes and a pair of glasses.

          Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the missing man or may have seen him is urged to contact the Regional Missing Person Unit of New Territories South on 3661 1173 or 9480 3644, or email to rmpu-nts-2@police.gov.hk, or contact any police station.

Secretary for Justice to visit Beijing and Korea

     The Secretary for Justice, Ms Teresa Cheng, SC, will visit Beijing and Incheon, Korea, from tomorrow (September 9) to September 11.

     In Beijing, Ms Cheng will attend the Tsinghua World Forum on the Rule of Law, where she will deliver a speech and participate in panel discussions. 

     Ms Cheng will then fly to Incheon, Korea in the evening on September 9 to attend the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Inter-sessional Regional Meeting on Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) Reform. She will speak on third party funding and join the roundtable discussion.

     She will return to Hong Kong in the evening on September 11.




No. 3 alarm fire in Sham Tseng (4)

     A No. 3 alarm fire broke out at 1-11 Sham Tsz Street in Sham Tseng this morning (September 8). It was surrounded at 11.14am and largely put out at 11.29am.

     Firemen used three jets and mobilising four breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze.

     No casualties have been reported so far.
