CE expresses sorrow over passing of Mr Zheng Xiaosong

     The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, today (October 21) expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, Mr Zheng Xiaosong.

     “I knew Mr Zheng who was working in Fujian Province while I was the Chief Secretary for Administration and together with him, promoted the co-operation between Hong Kong and Fujian, including co-chairing the first Hong Kong/Fujian Co-operation Conference in 2015, laying a solid foundation for further exchanges between the two places. He had worked in Hong Kong earlier and was familiar with Hong Kong and concerned about the development of the city. I was grieved to learn of his sudden departure. On behalf of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family,” Mrs Lam said.

Liquor Licensing Board to meet on Tuesday

The following is issued on behalf of the Liquor Licensing Board:

     The Liquor Licensing Board will meet on Tuesday (October 23) to consider an application for renewal of liquor licence on Hong Kong Island.

     The application is:

     Hee Kee Fried Crab Expert in Causeway Bay

     The meeting will be held at 9.45am in the conference room, Room 102, 1/F, 258 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai. Members of the public are welcome to attend, except during the private session on confidential items.

Playground breaks down barriers

     The Tuen Mun Park Inclusive Playground will be the first in Hong Kong to be themed on “inclusivity”. Children of different ages and abilities can play here without barriers.

     News.gov.hk spoke to Architectural Services Department Landscape Architects, representatives from Playright Children’s Play Association and students to see how they designed the unique playground.
