Liquor Licensing Board to meet on Tuesday

The following is issued on behalf of the Liquor Licensing Board:

     The Liquor Licensing Board will meet on Tuesday (January 22) to consider five applications for new issue, renewal or transfer of liquor licences.

     The applications are (not in order of discussion):

Kowloon:

NATHAN HOUSE and UPPER NATHAN in Tsim Sha Tsui
HOUSE in Sham Shui Po
 
    The meeting will be held at 9.45am in the conference room, Room 102, 1/F, 258 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai. Members of the public are welcome to attend, except during the private session on confidential items.
 




No. 3 alarm fire in Tuen Mun (4)

     A No. 3 alarm fire broke out at Tuen Mun River Trade Terminal this morning (January 20) was brought under control at 10.31am.

     Firemen are now using eight jets, two turntable ladder monitors and two roof monitors, and mobilising eight breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze.

     No casualties have been reported so far.

     Turnout rate for the 2019 Kaifong Representative Election for Cheung Chau Market Town which began at 8.30am today (January 20) is 2.36% (as at 9.30am).

     During the winter surge, the Hospital Authority is closely monitoring the service demand of Accident and Emergency Departments and the occupancy rate of medical wards in public hospitals. Key service statistics are being issued daily for public information. Details are in the appended table.
