Red flag hoisted at Turtle Cove Beach

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (May 24) that due to big waves, the red flag has been hoisted at Turtle Cove Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.




Lifesaving services at Cafeteria Old Beach resume

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has announced that the lifesaving services at Cafeteria Old Beach in Tuen Mun District resumed today (May 24). The lifesaving services at the beach were suspended earlier due to an insufficient number of lifeguards on duty.




Red flags lowered at some Beaches

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department said today (May 24) that the red flags at Lido Beach, Casam Beach, Approach Beach and Ting Kau Beach in Tsuen Wan District have been lowered and the beaches have been reopened.

     The beaches were closed earlier on after an oil spill.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (May 24) that since the water off Lido Beach, Casam Beach, Approach Beach and Ting Kau Beach in Tsuen Wan District Beach is now suitable for swimming, the red flags have been lowered.

     The red flags were hoisted at the beaches earlier after a red tide was seen.
