Missing man in Tsim Sha Tsui located

A man who went missing in Tsim Sha Tsui has been located.

Xue Kun-teng, aged 35, went missing after he left a hostel on Nathan Road on July 1 night. His family made a report to Police on July 2.

The man was located on Austin Road in Yau Ma Tei on July 28 afternoon.
 




Appeal for information on missing man in Mong Kok (with photo)

     Police today (July 30) appealed to the public for information on a man who went missing in Mong Kok.

     Chan Che-hung, aged 62, went missing after he left an elderly home on Prince Edward Road West yesterday night (July 29). Staff of the elderly home made a report to Police on the same day.

     He is about 1.7 metres tall, 70 kilograms in weight and of medium build. He has a pointed face with yellow complexion and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue and white shirt, camouflage-coloured shorts and blue slippers. 

     Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the missing man or may have seen him is urged to contact the Regional Missing Person Unit of Kowloon West on 3661 8036 or 9020 6542 or email to rmpu-kw@police.gov.hk, or contact any police station.

Appeal for information on missing woman in Sham Shui Po (with photo)

     Police today (July 30) appealed to the public for information on a woman who went missing in Sham Shui Po.
 
     Hui Yuet-ming, aged 44, went missing after she left her residence on Boundary Street on July 23 morning. Her family made a report to Police yesterday (July 29).
 
     She is about 1.5 metres tall, 50 kilograms in weight and of medium build. She has a round face with yellow complexion and short black hair. She was last seen wearing a grey shirt, blue jeans, pink shoes and carrying a blue rucksack.

     Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the missing woman or may have seen her is urged to contact the Regional Missing Person Unit of Kowloon West on 3661 8035 or 9552 3098 or email to rmpu-kw@police.gov.hk, or contact any police station.

Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected cocaine (with photos)

     Hong Kong Customs seized about 12.5 kilograms of suspected cocaine with an estimated market value of about $12.3 million at Hong Kong International Airport on July 27.

     Customs officers inspected an air consignment arriving in Hong Kong from Brazil on July 27 and found the batch of suspected cocaine concealed inside packages of food powder. A 62-year-old man suspected to be in connection with the case was arrested. He has been released on bail pending further investigation.

     After follow-up investigation, Customs officers yesterday (July 29) further arrested a 27-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man in Kwai Chung suspected to be in connection with the case. A batch of drug packaging paraphernalia was also seized at a premises in the district.

     Investigation is ongoing.

     Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.

Marine Department announcement

Attention duty announcers, radio and TV stations:

     Please broadcast the following message as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:

     As Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.3 has been issued, the Marine Department reminds vessel owners, masters and persons-in-charge of vessels that they should take precautionary measures immediately and properly secure their vessels at safe locations.

     In case of an accident, a report should be made immediately to the Vessel Traffic Centre at 2233 7801.
