Long and Mallon Join Forces To Support Victims of Domestic Abuse
In a meeting today Minister Naomi Long and Minister Nichola Mallon have agreed to work together to explore how free travel can be delivered for those fleeing domestic abuse.
Reappointment of Members to the Board of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive
Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey MLA has reappointed Mr Jim McCall and Mr Derek Wilson to the Board of the NI Housing Executive (NIHE) for a second term from 1 June 2020 for a period of 5 years, having both served on the Board since 1 June 2015.

Northern Ireland Executive ministers and their officials have over the past 24 hours been involved in a number of initiatives and critical decisions relating to the Coronavirus emergency.
Shopping and Prescription Support
Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action has now started a voluntary shopping and prescription service, thanks to the wonderful volunteers helping to provide this.
If you would like a volunteer to do your shopping for you, you can arrange this either by completing the form online at: www.getlocalsupport.org or by calling the Dial-OP line, weekdays between 9am and 5pm on 305757.
It has set up an invoicing system to allow you to pay for your shopping after it has been delivered in response to people telling them they were worried about running out of cash at home and having to go out to withdraw money in order for volunteers to do their shopping for them. This is an alternative for the people who are no longer able to pay with cash and hope that this will allow them to continue to get the shopping in that they want without having to leave the house or put themselves at more risk.
Minister suspends recovery of benefit overpayments and loans
Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey has said that her Department will be pausing the recovery of benefit overpayments and loan repayments from a number of Social Security benefits for three months, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
