Getting things done – Osborne Place and Magdalen Yard Road #dundeewestend

I have had numerous complaints about the extent of mushy, wet leaves around Magdalen Yard Road and Osborne Place and some blocked road drains.

I had reported this to both the environment team in relation to the leaves and the Roads Maintenance Partnership in relation to the drains – and have also raised similar issues at other locations :




Swann announces further change to blood donor deferral policy

Health Minister Robin Swann has announced further changes to blood donation deferral rules to allow more people to donate blood.




Applications sought for DE appointed members for the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS) and its Diocesan Education Committees (DECs)

The Department of Education (DE) has launched a public appointments competition to appoint four members to the CCMS Council along with four members to the Derry DEC and two members to each of the Armagh and Down & Connor DECs.




Minister Mallon signs off on £6.5million Shimna Flood Alleviation Scheme

Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon has today made the Appropriate Assessment in accordance with the Conservation (Natural Habitats, etc.) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995, signed the Confirmation Order and determined that the £6.5 million Shimna River flood alleviation scheme should proceed.
