Givan and O’Neill seek public views on draft Refugee Integration Strategy

First Minister Paul Givan and deputy First Minister Michelle O’Neill, along with Dr Livingstone Thompson, Chair of the Racial Equality Subgroup, have today announced the opening of a 12-week public consultation on a draft Refugee Integration Strategy.



Council receives an update on roads infrastructure projects for Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council area

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council members have been updated by the local Divisional Roads Manager on works being undertaken in 2021/22, at the Department for Infrastructure’s recent council meeting.



Getting things done – Logie Avenue #dundeewestend

Many thanks to the residents who contacted me to advise that a utility box on the pavement at Logie Avenue near the Sycamore Place junction is exposed to the elements.


I therefore asked the Roads Maintenance Partnership could contact the appropriate utility to have it repaired.

Strawberrybank – closed at Perth Road (for a distance of 40 metres) for 4 weeks for chimney repairs.

Blackness Road (at Seymour Street) – temporary traffic lights from Monday 29 November to Wednesday 1 December for BT work.

Perth Road (junction with Invergowrie Drive) – 3 way temporary lights from 29 November for 4 days for City Fibre works.

Forthcoming Roadworks

Tay Square – closed on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 December for Virgin Media work.
