The seventh meeting of the Assessment Committee for the Funding Scheme to Support Transitional Housing Projects by Non-government Organisations, chaired by the Under Secretary for Transport and Housing, Dr Raymond So Wai-man, was convened via video conferencing yesterday (August 30) and this morning (August 31).
The Assessment Committee agreed to subsidise the following transitional housing projects:
(i) Transitional housing development at Luen Yan Street, Tsuen Wan, by Food For Good Limited. With total funding of $105.05 million, it is expected to provide about 191 units.
(ii) Transitional housing development at vacant residential flats at 29-31, North Street, and 39-45, Hau Wo Street, Kennedy Town, by Centre Stage Squarer Limited. With total funding of $3.2 million, it is expected to provide about 16 units.
(iii) Transitional housing development at Wong Tai Sin Road, Wong Tai Sin, by Sik Sik Yuen. With total funding of $123.75 million, it is expected to provide about 225 units.
(iv) Transitional housing development at the Junction of Tong Yin Street and Chi Shin Street, Tseung Kwan O, by Christian Family Service Centre. With total funding of $134.2 million, it is expected to provide about 244 units.
(v) Transitional housing development at Sheung On Street, Chai Wan, by The Society for Community Organization Limited. With total funding of $52.8 million, it is expected to provide about 96 units.
(vi) Transitional housing development at Carmel Road, Stanley, by Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association Limited. With total funding of $22 million, it is expected to provide about 40 units.
(vii) Transitional housing development at Fan Kam Road, Pat Heung, Yuen Long, by The Lutheran Church – Hong Kong Synod Limited. With total funding of $288.15 million, it is expected to provide about 510 units.
(viii) Transitional housing development at Hung Shui Kiu, Yuen Long, by Yan Oi Tong Limited. With total funding of $222.2 million, it is expected to provide about 404 units.
