Appointment of Director of Accounting Services (with photo)
The Government announced today (October 7) that Ms Susanna Cheung Sau-lan, Deputy Director of Accounting Services, will take up the post of Director of Accounting Services on October 14, 2021, when Mr Charlix Wong Shing-hei commences his pre-retirement leave.
Commenting on the appointment of Ms Cheung, the Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Patrick Nip, said, "Ms Cheung has proven management and leadership skills, as well as rich professional knowledge and extensive operational experience. I am confident that she will be able to lead the Treasury to meet the challenges ahead."
On the retirement of Mr Wong, Mr Nip said, "Mr Wong has served with professionalism and commitment in the civil service for 34 years. As Director of Accounting Services, Mr Wong has made sustained efforts in enhancing the efficiency and service quality of the Treasury. I wish him a fulfilling and happy retirement."

Mr Charlix Wong

Mr Wong joined the Government as Executive Officer II in October 1985. He was appointed as Accounting Officer II in December 1986 and promoted to Accounting Officer I in July 1989 before leaving the service in August 1991. He rejoined the Government as Treasury Accountant in January 1993 and was promoted to Chief Treasury Accountant in September 2006, to Assistant Director of Accounting Services in June 2011 and to Deputy Director of Accounting Services in May 2015. He has been Director of Accounting Services since January 2018.
Ms Susanna Cheung

Ms Cheung joined the Government as Treasury Accountant in April 1996. She was promoted to Chief Treasury Accountant in September 2011, to Assistant Director of Accounting Services in June 2015 and to Deputy Director of Accounting Services in July 2018.
