Applications open for Music Office’s 2021 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows

     The 2021 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows, organised by the Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, is now open for applications. The competition will run in a video submission mode and the deadline for application is October 20.
 
     The 2021 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows comprises String Quartet, String Ensemble, Western Percussion Ensemble and Chinese Ensemble Contests. Primary and secondary schools are welcome to join the competition to let students gain more performance experience. The application form can now be downloaded from the Music Office's website (www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/mo/activities/musicactivities/hkymi.html). Completed forms must be returned to the Music Office before 5pm on October 20 by mail (address: Activities and Promotion Section, Music Office Headquarters, 5/F, South Tower, West Kowloon Government Offices, 11 Hoi Ting Road, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon) or by fax (3585 7910). The Music Office will acknowledge schools' applications by email.
 
     Since the competition will run in a video submission mode, participating schools should submit their video URLs between December 1 and December 8. Guest musicians will be invited to be the adjudicators and offer professional comments. Teams with outstanding performances will be awarded Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards. The contest results will be announced on the Music Office's website (www.lcsd.gov.hk/musicoffice) on February 21 next year. For enquiries, please call 3842 7773.
