Amazon employs hundreds of veterans and reservists in its operations sites and corporate offices across the UK, a number that keeps growing every year. With a focus on education, professional development, mentorship and mobility, Amazon aims to be the earth’s most military-friendly company.

The launch of their new Military Talent Pool enables members of the armed forces community to register their interest in working for Amazon. Not only will the dedicated team of military recruiters (who are themselves veterans) use the talent pool to identify prospective candidates for roles across the UK and EU, but all recruiters at Amazon will have access to the military talent pool.

Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon said:

At Amazon we’re constantly looking for leaders who can invent, think big, have a bias for action, and who want to deliver for customers. These principles look very familiar to men and women who have served our (their) country in the armed forces, and we find that their experience leading people is invaluable in our fast-paced work environment.

Amazon are industry leaders at fostering a forces-friendly ethos, as Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award holders they advocate on behalf of the armed forces community and understand the value military skills bring to the workplace.
