The Secretary for Education, Dr Choi Yuk-lin, will begin her visit to Jiangxi and Beijing tomorrow (October 28).
Dr Choi will attend the kick-off ceremony of the first Mainland study tour to Jiangxi for students of the subject of Citizenship and Social Development in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, and participate in an activity in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Dongjiang water supply to Hong Kong. She will also sign a Memorandum of Understanding on education co-operation between Jiangxi and Hong Kong with representatives from the Department of Education of Jiangxi Province.
Following the study tour in Jiangxi, Dr Choi will attend in Beijing the 25th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education and deliver a keynote speech to introduce the "Study in Hong Kong" brand.
Dr Choi will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on October 31. During her absence, the Under Secretary for Education, Mr Sze Chun-fai, will be the Acting Secretary for Education.
