He then went to a tea house and ordered dishes such as shrimp toasts, hot dogs and icy herbal jelly with ice cream, all enjoyed with an all-day discount of 25 per cent off the bill. He also went to Wan Chai Bowrington Road Cooked Food Centre to buy roasted meat and curry lamb brisket at a discount of 25 per cent.

Talking with market retailers and customers, he was pleased to see that members of the public were supportive of the rich array of special offers and activities rolled out by different sectors of the community in response to the co-ordination of the Government. The offers and activities covered areas such as public transport, culture, arts and leisure, dining and consumption, as well as reward activities, all towards sharing the joy of National Day with the public.
