The Department of Health (DH) today (January 22) announced that all services provided at Shek Kip Mei Chest Clinic (SKMCC), located at 2 Berwick Street, Shek Kip Mei, will be suspended from January 27 to tie in with relevant redevelopment works until the completion of the construction works of Shek Kip Mei Community Health Centre Building at the original site.
The DH has informed all patients of SKMCC with appointments that they will be transferred to Kowloon Chest Clinic or Yaumatei Chest Clinic for follow-up. In addition, SKMCC had ceased receiving new referral cases since November 1 last year. During the service suspension of SKMCC, manpower will be diverted to other chest clinics gradually to meet the needs of patients.
Notices about the service suspension have been posted at SKMCC and uploaded to the website of Tuberculosis and Chest Service (TB&CS) of the DH (www.info.gov.hk/tb_chest/en/). Please visit the TB&CS website for more information.
