Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident happened in Lantau North in small hours today (December 11), in which a 30-year-old man died.
At 3.06am, a taxi driven by the 30-year-old man was travelling along Penny’s Bay Highway towards Kowloon. When approaching near the entrance of Magic Road roundabout, it reportedly lost control, rammed into a traffic sign, then rammed into a flower bed and overturned.
Sustaining multiple injuries, the taxi driver was sent to North Lantau Hospital in unconscious state and later certified dead at 4.19am.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
