The Sales of First-hand Residential Properties Authority (SRPA) Resource Centre (the Resource Centre) will be decommissioned and an alternative mode of services will be introduced from October 3, 2023, a spokesman for the SRPA said today (September 4).

The spokesman said, "Currently, members of the public may go to the SRPA Resource Centre in Chai Wan to peruse hard copies of sales brochures and price lists of first-hand residential developments being offered for sale. Taking into account the recommendation made in the Director of Audit's Report No. 79, the SRPA has conducted a review on the utilisation and effectiveness of the Resource Centre. The review concludes that in light of the advancement of technology, it will be more cost effective to provide the relevant services through an alternative mode rather than retaining the Resource Centre."

The spokesman added that upon the decommissioning of the Resource Centre from October 3, 2023, the SRPA will make available a computer terminal at the SRPA reception for walk-in visitors to gain free online access to the Sales of First-hand Residential Properties Electronic Platform, the SRPA's website and the designated websites of first-hand residential developments. For those who wish to peruse hard copies of sales brochures and price lists of first-hand residential developments being offered for sale, they may make appointments with the SRPA by telephone (2817 3313), by email (Enquiry_srpa@hd.gov.hk) or by fax (2219 2220).

Members of the public can visit the SRPA's website at www.srpa.gov.hk for more information.
