The Principal Officials (POs) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government today (January 23) continued to participate in the Chinese New Year Home Visit Programme co-ordinated by the Home Affairs Department. They paid visits to grass-roots families in Wong Tai Sin District and distributed to them blessing bags in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
The Deputy Secretary for Justice, Mr Cheung Kwok-kwan, together with a number of POs visited the Wong Tai Sin District today.
Accompanied by the District Officer (Wong Tai Sin), Mr Steve Wong, Mr Cheung, together with the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Miss Alice Mak, visited the grass-roots family, the elderly singleton and the elderly doubleton living in Lok Fu Estate, Wong Tai Sin. Meanwhile, the Secretary for Health, Professor Lo Chung-mau together with the Acting Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Ms Lillian Cheong, also visited the elderly singletons living in the Estate.
During the visit, the POs chatted with the households to understand their daily needs and distributed the Chinese New Year blessing bags to them in celebration of the festival.
The POs of the Government had visited the elderlies and grass-roots families in different districts from January 21 to 23 and delivered the Chinese New Year blessing bags and seasonal greetings to the households.
