Fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin happened yesterday (November 23) night in which a 52-year-old woman died.
      
     At about 9.20pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 29-year-old man was travelling along Tai Shing Street to Tung Tau Tsuen Road, while a motorcycle driven by a 48-year-old man was travelling along Tung Tau Tsuen Road to Tai Shing Street. When approaching near the junction of Tai Shing Street and Tung Tau Tsuen Road, the motorcycle reportedly lost control, dashed to the opposite lane and collided with the LGV which was turning right to Tung Tau Tsuen Road.
      
     The 52-year-old female motorcycle passenger fell onto the ground and was knocked down by the LGV. She was trapped under the LGV and rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious injuries in her upper body, she was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 10.37pm.
      
     The motorcyclist sustained multiple injuries in his body while the LGV driver together with a 29-year-old female passenger felt unwell. They were sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in conscious state.
      
     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
