The following is issued on behalf of the Office of The Ombudsman:
The Office of The Ombudsman today (August 16) said that The Ombudsman, Ms Winnie Chiu, had interactions with a person who had tested preliminarily positive for COVID-19. She is undergoing home quarantine in accordance with the guidelines of the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health and is currently working from home.
Ms Chiu has taken COVID-19 rapid antigen tests regularly with negative test results obtained. She also tested negative after conducting a COVID-19 rapid antigen test today.
