Police showcases professional and multi-faceted work at Education and Careers Expo (with photos)

     The Hong Kong Police Force is showcasing the multi-faceted and professional nature of its work under the theme "Serving Hong Kong with Honour, Duty and Loyalty" at the four-day Education and Careers Expo 2022 held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre starting today (July 21). The latest recruitment information will also be available at the Police recruitment booth.

     During the Expo, a total of 17 Police units and secondary duty cadres will take turns to brief visitors on their areas of work and equipment. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in the brand-new immersive Virtual Reality simulated police firearms training at the Hong Kong Police College. The "Recruitment Spokespersons", mentees and Police ambassadors of the Police Mentorship Programme and Project ACHIEVE, as well as non-ethnic Chinese officers will introduce respective projects on site.

     Demonstration sessions of various Police units are as follows:

July 21 (Thursday)
10.00am to 2.30pm – Police Dog Unit, Force Escort Group, Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau
2.30pm to 7pm – Small Boat Division, Police Tactical Unit, Force Rope Access Cadre

July 22 (Friday)
10.00am to 2.30pm – Small Boat Division, Quick Reaction Force, Police Negotiation Cadre
2.30pm to 7pm – Airport Security Unit, Railway Response Team, Technology Services Division

July 23 (Saturday)
10.00am to 2.30pm – Police Dog Unit, Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Force Search Unit
2.30pm to 7pm – Airport Security Unit, Force Escort Group, Auxiliary Police

July 24 (Sunday)
10.00am to 2.30pm – Police Dog Unit, Weapon Training Division, Emergency Unit
2.30pm to 7pm – Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau, Force Escort Group

     Members of the public who are interested in joining the Force as Probationary Inspector, Recruit Police Constable or Police Constable (Auxiliary) can apply at the Police recruitment booth. Applicants will undergo initial screening, including eyesight test, height and weight measurements. Officers from the Police Recruitment Division will also answer recruitment-related questions on spot.
