The 12th meeting of the Assessment Committee for the Funding Scheme to Support Transitional Housing Projects by Non-government Organisations, chaired by the Under Secretary for Transport and Housing, Dr Raymond So Wai-man, was convened via video conferencing this morning (May 5).
The Assessment Committee agreed to subsidise the following transitional housing projects:
(i) Transitional housing development at Tai Shu Ha Road West, Yuen Long (Former Wing On School), by Hong Kong Youth Affairs Development Foundation. With total funding of $125.4 million, it is expected to provide about 228 units.
(ii) Transitional housing development at Hung Lok Road, Hung Hom, by the Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, Hong Kong. With total funding of $268.06 million, it is expected to provide about 488 units.
(iii) Transitional housing development at Holy Carpenter Guesthouse, Hung Hom, by Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council Limited. With total funding of $9.8 million, it is expected to provide about 18 units.
(iv) Transitional housing development at vacant residential flats in various tenement buildings in the Western District by the Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon. With total funding of $4 million, it is expected to provide about 20 units.
