The Buildings Department approved 11 building plans in February, with two on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and four in the New Territories.
Of the approved plans, eight were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, one was for commercial development, and two were for community services developments.
In the same month, consent was given for works to start on six building projects which, when completed, will provide 3 839 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use involving 70 units, and 4 712 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use. The department has received notification of commencement of superstructure works for two building projects.
The department also issued eight occupation permits, with two on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and two in the New Territories.
Of the buildings certified for occupation, the gross floor area for domestic use was 198 885 sq m involving 2 910 units, and 146 517 sq m was for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of new buildings completed in February totalled about $14.9 billion.
In addition, eight demolition consents involving eight building structures were issued.
The department received 1 061 reports about unauthorised building works (UBWs) in February and issued 165 removal orders on UBWs.
