In light of the positive test results for the COVID-19 virus from some sewage samples collected in Eastern District, Kwai Tsing, Kwun Tong, Southern District, Yuen Long and North District, the Home Affairs Department (HAD) said today (March 22) that the Eastern District Office (EDO), the Kwai Tsing District Office (K&TDO), the Kwun Tong District Office (KTDO), the Southern District Office (SDO), the Yuen Long District Office (YLDO) and the North District Office (NDO) have distributed a total of about 210 000 COVID-19 rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in the districts.
The EDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Perfect Mount Gardens, Ming Wah Dai Ha, Shau Kei Wan Plaza, Lime Gala, Shau Kei Wan Centre, Tung Shing Court, Hong Wah Mansion and Harmony Place for voluntary testing through the Hong Kong Housing Society and the property management companies.
The K&TDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Lai King Estate, Wonderland Villas, Regency Park, Ching Wah Court, Mayfair Gardens and Rambler Crest for voluntary testing through the Housing Department, the owners' corporations and the property management companies.
The KTDO and the SDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Telford Gardens, Amoy Gardens, Tak Bo Garden, Jade Field Garden, Wang Kwong Building and Lee Kee Building in Kwun Tong District and residential premises near Yue Fai Road, Aberdeen Main Road and Old Main Street in Aberdeen in Southern District for voluntary testing through the property management companies.
The YLDO also distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Tin Yau Court and Kenswood Court, Lynwood Court, Maywood Court and Chestwood Court of Kingswood Villas for voluntary testing through the property management companies.
In addition, the NDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Tai Tau Leng, Cheung Wah Estate, Ka Fuk Estate, Parkford Garden, Royal Knoll, Fortune House, Regalia Villa, Century Court, Wealthy Villas, Magdalene Garden and Vine Art Villa for voluntary testing through the property management companies and the relevant Village Representatives.
The HAD made the above arrangements in the hope of identifying infected persons early.
People who obtained positive results through a rapid antigen test for the first time can make a report via the online platform Declaration System for Individuals Tested Positive for COVID-19 Using Rapid Antigen Test (www.chp.gov.hk/ratp/). If individuals encounter difficulties in using the online platform, they can call the automated system at 183 6119 to register their identification document and telephone number. The Centre for Health Protection will contact the relevant person later to finish the report procedure.

The Government appeals for the co-operation of members of the public to safeguard the health of themselves and their families by undergoing testing on a voluntary basis and fighting the virus together. The Government urges all individuals who are in doubt about their own health condition, or individuals with infection risks (such as individuals who visited places with epidemic outbreaks or had contact with cases that tested positive), to undergo testing promptly for early identification of infected persons to reduce the transmission risks of COVID-19.
